Praise God! I trust you all had a good Christmas day, even if it was not the ideal Christmas you were hoping to have. Ok, Christmas is past and we are looking forward to the New Year. It is a time when people usually make resolutions. Many resolve to make changes so life can be better and happier, e.g. go to the gym, eat healthier and so on. On the other hand, there are those who resolve to become better Christians, and others who resolve to surrender their lives to God. As I thinking about it, this passage of scripture comes to mind, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt. 6:33). I’m just saying…. I hope you kinda get the picture . So here’s is the thing; if your intended resolution is to have a closer walk with the Lord or to become a Christian, please do not wait until January 1, 2014 to begin. Start right NOW! “…now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” 2. Cor.6:2). None of us knows what tomorrow holds “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even as a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away” (James 4:14). Base on James’ inspired writing it is my humble advise to you my friend “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).
God bless you, as you start to strengthen your relationship with the Lord today. For those of you who are sitting on the fence of indecision, waiting for a “suitable time” to commit to the Lord, there is no better time than now.
