Grace and peace to you, beloved family in Christ.
As we step into the dawn of this new year, 2025, my heart is filled with thanksgiving for the manifold blessings of God and the privilege of walking this journey of faith alongside each of you. It is by His grace and mercy that we have crossed over into another year, and for this, we lift our voices in praise and adoration to the King of kings and Lord of lords! The Word of God reminds us in Lamentations 3:22-23, that "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." As we reflect on the past year, we are mindful of the challenges we faced, the victories we celebrated, and the lessons we learned. Through it all, God has been faithful, a constant presence in our lives. He has carried us through storms, strengthened us in weakness, and poured out His love upon us. This year, 2025, offers fresh opportunities to draw closer to God, deepen our commitment to His work, and shine as lights in a world that desperately needs His truth and love. As a church, let us embrace this new season with a spirit of unity, faith, and unwavering hope. It is a hope in God that “maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” The theme God has placed on my heart for this year is “It is time to arise and reap” (Matthew 9:37-38). We can reap when we walk in His purpose and are empowered by His Spirit.” This is a call to align our lives with His divine will, to pursue His purpose for us individually and collectively, and to rely fully on the power of the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul exhorts us in Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV): "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Let this be the attitude of our hearts as we embark on this journey through 2025. Forgetting past failures and pressing forward in faith, we are called to greater levels of worship, service, and witness. Together, let us seek God fervently in prayer, immerse ourselves in His Word, and labour faithfully in His vineyard, knowing that our labour in the Lord is not in vain. To our families, I encourage you to build your homes upon the solid foundation of Christ. Strengthen your relationships, teach the next generation the ways of the Lord, and let your homes be filled with the love and peace of God. To those who may feel weary or burdened, take heart in the promise of our Savior: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). As we move forward, I am excited about God's plans for our church, the opportunities for outreach and ministry, and the lives that will be touched and transformed by His power. Together, we will lift up Jesus's name and proclaim His kingdom until He comes. Finally, my prayer for you in 2025 is found in Numbers 6:24-26 "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." May this be a year of overflowing joy, abundant blessings, and undeniable breakthroughs as we walk hand in hand with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Happy New Year, and may God richly bless you and your families!
